Luka Doncic’s debut with the Los Angeles Lakers is reportedly delayed.
The Los Angeles Lakers will have to wait a little longer before seeing guard Luka Doncic take the court. According to NBA insider Marc Stein, Doncic’s debut will be pushed back by a day or two.
According to sources, Luke Dončić is aiming for his Monday debut versus Utah. He resumed full 5-on-5 practice last week and is recovering well from a left calf strain he sustained on Christmas.”
Doncic was supposed to make his debut on Saturday against the Indiana Pacers, but that will now be postponed. ESPN even changed its schedule to allow Doncic to make his debut in Los Angeles.
In the meantime, the Lakers will focus on defeating the Pacers. Los Angeles has been improving in the rankings and hopes to maintain its outstanding performance.
Doncic and LeBron James are one of the NBA’s most anticipated pairings, with fans across the league looking forward to Doncic’s comeback. Doncic, who is only 25, is already one of the top players in the NBA, and he has joined the Lakers’ squad.
The Lakers also traded for center Mark Williams, whose debut date is still unclear. With Williams, the squad gains a legitimate center to bolster its playoff chances.
Once all players are healthy and on the court, the Lakers will have a better understanding of how they compare to the rest of the conference. This club is looking to win another championship, and with the addition of new talent, it could happen this season.
