In March 2024, the woman first brought the encounter to the attention of the school’s Title IX office.

She claims that, in part because of Green’s prominence, she did not disclose the alleged event until this week, but she felt obliged to do so after being requested to speak with Title IX investigators last fall regarding Golden’s interactions with female athletes. Green, who is in his third season with Florida, was the point guard for the squad that won back-to-back titles in 2006 and 2007.
After multiple women accused Golden of sexual exploitation, stalking, and sexual harassment, this is the second Title IX complaint against a Florida basketball coach in as many months. An unnamed lady told The Alligator that Golden chased her on foot and in his car and gave her unsolicited pictures of his genitalia.
In an apparent attempt to attract their attention, Golden allegedly “liked” several of their Instagram posts, sometimes several at once, before “unliking” them to evade detection, according to another lady, who also wishes to remain anonymous. Green was a two-time All-SEC player, a two-time champion, and a two-time NCAA All-Region star while he was a player at Florida from 2004 to 2007. Before going pro in 2007, he spent his final two seasons with the Gators, averaging 13.3 points per game each.
Before taking over as head of player development at his alma university in 2022, Green was the Chicago Bulls’ player development coordinator in 2021. In 2023, he was promoted to assistant coach.
